WOW!! We started a whole movement (Of bowels)
"Please send a photo of just ONE eye ... and I will return to you a pencil portrait or interpretation of that eye! Just this once I will relinguish copyright on this auction.
The Photo is sample only and you get half of what is pictured here.
POINTS TO REMEMBER NEXT TIME YOU WISH TO MAKE MY ART PUBLIC Mr. KUNST:
ONE: I do not LIVE in Featherston
TWO: THat was NOT Heather Locklear
THREE: It was not a laser print
FOUR: I do FULL portraits for those asking
FIVE: I find the theft of my photo for the reasons of defamation repulsive.
SIX: I hope the media reads the thread I have on you in the MB because of the other content you have on your site.
NEXT TIME YOU WISH TO DEFRAUD AN ARTIST - Please do it with more style than you did.
THANK YOU."
Okay, She's not from Featherston. And that is NOT Heather Locklear. Right?
As has been stated before, Art in the public domain is up to be critised. It's the rules. Ask any real artist.
We did not thieve your artwork. We took a Jpg. of your artwork. Would it be stealing it if we printed it out and started selling them at the markets? Yes, it would. We've stolen nothing. In fact it is MANUKAROSE(c) who seems to be garnering attention.
Also, you have stolen my intellectual property (though I imagine you'll disagree that there's anything intellectual about it) by posting it on trademe. You know what? Thanks for the publicity!
We were only complaining about how ridiculous we find copyright altogether. To be offended that we are offended by copyright is ridiculous, and you should be ashamed of yourself for being so damn sensitive.
We hope the media read this site too. Interesting day. And a simple "thank-you for making my artwork public, Mr. Kunst" would be nice too, instead of fanfare and hullabaloo.
Here's the thread, Thanks for pumping up the hits today guys!
[EDIT: thread had since been removed. We wanted to print it out and call it art. Or loo paper.]

12 Complaints:
Someone is ENJOYING the limelight, but I would hardly be concerned about copyright with those sketches I don't think Manuka Rose needs to worry too much.
Art what art thou?
The eyes are straight out of "drawing for dummies". I'm not kidding. Ever since I read that book I can see em.
Not Knocking the book, (which is very good) just pointing out a fact.
I myself am a bloody good sketcher and draftsman. Have to be in my line, so I can spot technique a mile away.
To be fair to Ms Rose, she is hardly a valid target. She's not purporting anything other than what you get. Is she by chance a girlfriend, and you've cooked this up between you? She may wish to keep the copyright in order to show samples of her previous work, although registering copyright is expensive and the subjects in the portraits may object. I don't know, don't care. The one up on her site just now is ever so slightly crosseyed. This can happen if the subject is too neer the camera, or maybe she's just skelly.

with dat crap as art the rest of the art world has nuttin to be scared of
learn about some art theory manuka. herd of apropreation? well if you spell it right tyou can google it. i didnt think george cared about www.theonion.com .
I just checked out the site stats and tracked her down. She only looked at the page for 2 minutes and 20 seconds, most of that was probably taken up by whining and not reading any of the insightful posts we have here. And then she left by the Jensen gallery link. As if they'd even look at her art, let alone sell it!! if you want to pay her a visit (maybe some police who want a bit of rough) her latitude and longitude is: -39.9333, 175.05, go on, go 'round and give her a punch. She'd do the same to you.
Ha ha choice !
Hilarious, her drawings are basic, any asian at a market does better. Saying that i have never heard of this site before so she must be a mental case to post it on a large messageboard when 99.99% of people would have never have seen it anyway .. i guess her logic and thinking skills are equal to her art.
If i could be bothered i would report her "portraits" to trademe .. they strictly forbid SERVICES and this is clearly a service.
Yes, you wouldn't be the first (or the last) to report her artwork services to TM. It has been reported again tonight.

I was accused on the trademe thread of being responsible for having her auctions pulled sometime last week, which I absolutely had nothing to do with, and I would never wish for anybody to lose any source of income. Times are hard enough all around.
